ACTS – Aviation Security is pleased to announce that ACTS has been chosen by United Airlines to serve as the Catering Security provider at five locations across the United States. Already a longtime and valued partner of ACTS, United Airlines has finalized plans to transition United Catering operations to third party providers. Through that process, ACTS will begin screening operations at the following locations:

  • Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) in Newark, New Jersey
  • Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) in Cleveland, Ohio
  • Honolulu International Airport – Inouye International Airport (HNL) in Honolulu, Hawaii
  • Denver International Airport (DEN) in Denver, Colorado
  • George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston, Texas

ACTS will begin operations for United in all five of these locations by the end of October 2021 and will be adding close to 100 Security Agent positions to the company during this time.

“ACTS is very excited about this next step in our partnership with United Airlines,” said Damien Flynn, President and Chief Executive Officers of ACTS. “We are delighted that many of the experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated United Catering Security employees will be joining the ACTS team. We look forward to meeting all the current employees, welcoming them to ACTS, and together building great catering security operations in EWR, CLE, HNL, DEN, and IAH. The support of United Airlines and our productive partnership with union representatives at UNITE HERE/IBT have been crucial to the retention and continuation of the existing workforce.”

“ACTS is proud to not simply offer employees a job,” said Flynn, “but a place to develop a career in aviation security, offering excellent training at all levels, an industry-leading compliance program which supports our Security Agents, and a strong track record of developing hourly staff to managerial positions.”
