ACTS-Aviation Security announces that the City of Charlotte has chosen its Airport Services subsidiary to provide Airport Traffic Services at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (henceforth CLT).

Beginning in early 2022, ACTS will provide 24/7 coverage of the traffic control and curbside enforcement detail at CLT. The Traffic Control Agents and Supervisors from ACTS will direct pedestrian, vehicular, and construction related traffic on the upper and lower levels of CLT’s terminal entrances, and other areas as assigned, to prevent congestion. The staff of ACTS will deliver exceptional customer service while assisting travelers, employees, and visitors with information, providing directions to airport and off-airport locations, and maintaining an obstruction-free walkway for the safe movement of pedestrians across CLT’s crosswalk.

This award from the City of Charlotte, which recently received unanimous approval from the Charlotte City Council, represents the fourth airport to select ACTS as its partner in delivering safety and security in the last 2 years.

“ACTS is excited to work with Charlotte Douglas International Airport on this critical public safety and customer service operation,” said Damien Flynn, Chief Executive Officer of ACTS. “We look forward to welcoming the new Traffic Services employees to ACTS where we are proud to offer excellent benefits, training, mentorship, and opportunities for advancement.”

When service commences in January 2022, ACTS will add over 50 Traffic Control Agents, Supervisors, and Management positions. ACTS will host open houses in Charlotte within the coming weeks to meet the incumbent Traffic Services employees at CLT and new prospective staff members.

Sam Juchtman, Chief Operating Officer, ACTS shared: “As with all of our airport security and customer service programs, the new operation at CLT will benefit from the expertise of our team, a tailored compliance program, and access to the resources and training of our parent company, ICTS Europe.”

As part of ACTS’ multi-year agreement with Charlotte, ACTS will partner with Professional Security Services (PSS), a Charlotte-based Minority Business Enterprise, as our subcontractor. ACTS looks forward to collaborating with PSS and Charlotte in implementing a best-in-class safety program.
